Vanliga frågor

Is this drive still supported?

No, this is end-of-life. Seagate discontinued this product. Support is limited to legacy system maintenance only.

What interface does it use?

SCSI (Small Computer System Interface) with SCA-2 connector. Not compatible with modern SATA or SAS systems without specialized adapters.

Can I use this in a modern PC?

Not without specialized legacy SCSI adapters, which are rare and expensive. This drive is designed for enterprise servers from the mid-2000s era.

What performance does it deliver?

15,000 RPM with ~3.8ms average seek time, suitable for high-I/O server workloads of its generation, though slow by modern standards.

Is it reliable after 20 years?

Mechanical wear is a significant concern with any drive of this age. Use only in archival projects or non-critical legacy systems with proper backups.

How much storage capacity?

73GB, which was substantial for enterprise drives in the mid-2000s but is minimal by today's standards.
